

I’m always perplexed when people say they don’t like Las Vegas. What’s not to like? Yes, people gamble in Vegas but there are so many other things to do. The shopping in Las Vegas is very diverse. You have Chanel stores on just about every corner but there’s also a Ross and outlet malls. Besides shopping, there’s also amazing Cirque Du Soleil shows, world-class spas, relaxing pools, exhilarating concerts, and some of the best restaurants in the world. I, personally, go to Vegas for 3 things: pools, gambling, and food. It’s the foodie capital of the world. Oh, and, the people watching capital of the world. We go to Vegas quite a bit (probably more than we should). It’s our happy place! We have stayed all over the strip and off of the strip. The list below is from years and years of going to Vegas and figuring out what we liked to do. Please let me know if you have any questions about my suggestions/favorites below:
My favorite restaurants in Vegas by Hotel:
- MGM – Craft Steak and Emeril’s New Orleans Fish house
- Park MGM – Bavette’s and Eataly
- Aria- Catch, Lemongrass, Blossom, Bardot Brasserie Javier’s
- Paris – Mon Ami Gabi and Eiffel Tower restaurant is good (get their soufflé) but you pay mostly for the view.
- Caesars – Old Homestead and Joe’s-Caesars
- Crystal’s/Aria – Mastro’s Ocean Club
- The Wynn – Lakeside, SW Steakhouse, Wing Lei, and Cipriani
- Venetian – Cañonita, Chica, Yardbird, and Grand Luxe
Favorite lunch/brunch spots:
- Eataly at Park MGM
- Black tap Las Vegas at Venetian
- Favorite Bistro near the Linq
- Grand Luxe-Venetian
- Bardot Brassiere at Aria
Favorite places to stay in Vegas:
- MGM – THE BEST POOL
- The Wynn
- Venetian/Palazzo
- Caesar’s Palace
Non-gambling things you must do in Vegas:
- Ride the High Roller and visit the Linq area
- Ride the roller coaster at NY NY
- Rollercoasters at Stratosphere
- Conservatory at Bellagio
- Water show at Bellagio
- Top of the Eiffel Tower
- Ride a gondola at Venetian
- M&M store
- Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
- Ziplining downtown
- Light/laser show downtown
- Neon lights museum
Shopping:
- The BEST stores are at the North Premium Outlets in Las Vegas.
- Fashion Show mall across the street from the Wynn
- Crystal’s City Center has a lot of the high-end shops
Spas:
- The Spa at Encore
- Qua Baths & Spa at Caesar’s
- Canyon Ranch Spa at Venetian/Palazzo
Pools:
- MGM is the best! The lazy river at MGM is my favorite.
- Ceasars – during summertime they will bring around frozen grapes
- The Wynn/Encore pools – less crowded than some of the others
Cirque Du Soleil Shows:
- La Reve at the Wynn
- Love at the Mirage
No matter who you are or what your your taste is, you can find something to enjoy in Las Vegas!

Love this! My family used to visit Vegas multiple times a year and it’s true…there’s so much to do, even for families. The cirque du soleil shows are incredible and the food scene is awesome!
