I’ve had A LOT of meals at @mastrosofficial in Las Vegas and it NEVER disappoints! My favorite things in preferential order: 1. Butter Cake 2. Mac ‘N cheese 3. Grouper (house style) 4. Creamed corn 5. French fries. We tried their chocolate butter cake this last time but it doesn’t touch the original. Seattle does not get enough credit for how beautiful it is! We had great weather while we were there. Sunshine every day! There is so much greenery and colorful flowers everywhere. It’s just a gorgeous city! We spent 4 days there before we took an Alaskan cruise. Below is a list of my favorite things to do in Seattle: 1. Space Needle – go up to the top and enjoy the incredible views of Seattle. We did this right before sunset and stayed through the sunset. It was gorgeous! 2. Pike Place Market – enjoy the fish throwing show. It’s so fun to watch all the vendors and shoppers interact. Everything is so fresh! 3. Original Starbucks – The original Starbucks is NOTHING fancy. It’s actually very plain compared to new Starbucks. It was still cool for this Starbucks junky to see. Also, there is literally a Starbucks on just about every corner in Seattle. Don’t be deterred by the rain in Seattle. We had rain every day (early) but it cleared away to reveal a gorgeous, clean city. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Ahhh, San Fran, I love you! wanted to. I struggled to pick just 10 photos of this beautiful city. Things we loved about San Fran: 1. Golden Gate Bridge – we rode bikes across it. Pretty cool but it was no joke. Maybe not the best idea for a novice like me. 2. The Palace Hotel – Gorgeous, time-less Hotel. Our room was unbelievable nice. 3. Alcatraz- the guided tour gives you so much history and interesting facts about Alcatraz. 4. Fisherman’s wharf had lots of good restaurants and cool souvenir shops. 5. Pier 39 – loved watching the sea lions. I think they are so cute but definitely stinky. The only thing I disliked about San Fran was the amount of homeless people. For the most part, they left us alone but we did have a few “run-ins” with them. We also frequently found used needles in restrooms. We had SOOOOO much good food in Boston…..but Union Oyster House is definitely at the top of our list. It’s a historic building with lots of charm. Our favorites were the Lobster Ravioli and the baked beans (best baked beans we had in Boston). Jamaica – This place is paradise! We stayed at Sandals Negril. This resort is heaven. Everything we ate was delicious! No need to pay for the butler option – just rent the daybeds that are available. Our resort offered a lot of activities so no need to leave. We did night snorkeling at our resort! Wow! Scary and exciting at the same time! They give you underwater flashlights to see everything. We mostly just laid on the beach this trip but we did hike in the jungle one day. I would definitely recommend doing this as part of a tour. There were some sketchy places between the resort area and the jungle. San Juan, PR – Our hotel was actually located in Isla Verde. It’s just a short Uber ride into San Juan. I cannot say enough good things about Puerto Rico! We were booked to stay 7 days and on the 6th day we decided to stay 3 extra days. Things I loved about Puerto Rico: 1. Beach was beautiful 2. Waterfalls in the El Yunque Rainforest are breathtaking 3. The noises from the Coqui were magical 4. Old town San Juan is gorgeous with its bright colored buildings and eclectic doors 5. Puerto Rican food 🙌🏼 – Empanadillas and Mofongo 🙌🏼 6. El San Juan Hotel – this is where we stayed and I’d definitely recommend it. Pools were gorgeous! Beach and pool chairs were actually comfortable. The food 🤤 – we ate numerous times at the hotel and everything we tried was outstanding. 7. Casinos – we ventured to the casino at the Ritz Carlton several times and it’s super nice 8. Uber – Ubers can be found pretty much anywhere 9. Safety – I felt safe EVERYWHERE we went I’ve wracked my brain trying to come up with things I didn’t like about PR 🤔. Yes, it’s hot and humid but that’s to be expected. Minneapolis, MN – We went to Minneapolis for the Final Four. I wasn’t excited about the location but wound up loving Minneapolis! The Mall of America is there and so many good restaurants! This restaurant was decorated in a “hell” theme. Pretty cool! I had the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. Those two were made for each other…one of the ultimate combos! My husband had the juicy Lucifer and Parmesan tots. Miami Beach, FL – Mister01 Extraordinary Pizza. They nailed their name because their pizza was definitely extraordinary! The Star Luca was my favorite. The spicy salami calabrese was perfection…not too spicy. It paired well with the ricotta and mozzarella. My second favorite is the spicy oil they give you to dip your pizza in 🤤. I could drink that stuff! We ended our meal with the flakiest Nutella filled croissants 🥐. Delicious! Napa Valley, CA – Where are my winos 🍷?!? A couple of years ago I did a wine tasting tour in Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley. I liked wine before this but I fell in love with it during the tour.
