My passions

I’m passionate about a lot of things but this blog will focus on my passion for traveling and eating. I’ll occasionally share other things I love such as, dogs and books.

“Travel irrevocably changes you.” – Me

Why do I travel?

  • Belive it or not, I’m a homebody when I’m not traveling. That being said, after a few weeks “at home” I get the “itch” to go somewhere. I start bugging my husband about taking me somewhere.
  • I truly believe that traveling is good for the soul.
  • It reinvigorates you, humbles you, and makes you see things in a different way.
  • I think it is so important to see and learn about other cultures.

Why do I like to eat so much?

  • In my opinion, it doesn’t get much better than a good meal. The only thing that makes it better is sharing it with people you care about.
  • Food brings people together.
  • Food makes us feel good (there’s actually lots of science behind this but I wont get into that).
  • I think it’s so fun to discover new restaurants and new food!

I’ve had a personal IG and Facebook account for a LONG time. I’ve always shared food and travel adventures with my friends and family. Over the years, quite a few people have told me that I should start a blog but I never felt worthy enough. Maybe worthy isn’t the right word but I just didn’t feel like the world would care about what I had to say.

A little over 6 years ago I nearly lost my life (I’ll share this story later). I decided once I was well that I wouldn’t hold back. I would not wait to live. I did not want to survive everything I had to just live in a bubble. I would encourage you not to wait. If you want to start a blog, do it. If you want to go somehwere, go. Don’t wait!

Back in January (after a couple years of contemplating it), I decided to start my food and travel blog. I started with creating a page on IG to see if people would follow me. It has been so much fun!

This blog will be a continuation of my IG posts. I will also share things here that I may not be able to put on IG just because of limitations to IG posts.
